Tom Schaar
Tom Schaar is the definition of “wunderkind.” It was clear that the child prodigy was something truly special when he became the youngest skateboarder to land a 900, at the age of eleven. Then, the following year, Schaar made history as the first skateboarder to land a 1080 (clinching a gold medal at the 2012 X Games). But Schaar kept on innovating, by landing an unheard-of stalefish 900 four years later. Schaar’s contest runs closely mimic his skateboarding career as a whole, steadily building with moments of pure inspiration. In 2019 and again in 2020, he was announced as one of Team U.S.A.’s core team of sixteen, so there’s at least one more historic moment to come for this unstoppable pro.
